Pumpkin Jack Welcomes You!
Pumpkin Jack is all about carving pumpkins. I have patterns, instructions, anecdotes, carving galleries and even Halloween stories. Come in and stay a while. Please return often.
The majority of the patterns on this site are quiet complex and require hours of time to complete. If you find them to be intimidating or, perhaps, you would like a little practice first before tackling them, you might wish to attempt some more traditional patterns here, some Halloween images here or my extensive collection of smiley face patterns here.

Pattern of the Month - December - Doctor Who - The War DoctorNow we bring to a close the Year of the Doctor, Pumpkin Jack's year long celebration of Doctor Who's 50th Anniversary. It's been an exciting year in which I've carved all eleven Doctors (and then some), met two (Peter Davison and Colin Baker), saw all of the awesome television events surrounding the Doctor and, finally, grew my own pumpkin. It's been quite a year, but now it's winding to a close and now it's December and Steven Moffat gave us all a wonder gift: another Doctor.
In this year's finale and anniversary special we met the War Doctor, an unknown regeneration of the Doctor who fought the Time War, played beautifully by John Hurt. With this Doctor came the news (*** SPOILER ALERT ***) that the Doctor did not destroy his people after all, but trapped his entire planet in stasis and now must find it and his people. We also got to see Tom Baker in Doctor Who one more time. Simply amazing!
Now we wait for the Christmas special...and Matt Smith's final episode. On December 25th, Peter Capaldi will officially take on the role of the Doctor, then have his first season in 2014. Stay tuned!
So below is NOT Santa Claus. Below is my pattern of the month, John Hurt as the War Doctor. It's been an amazing year. See you in January for the first pattern in 2014's theme... Monsters!
Okay, I love Christmas. I love it so much that I bring my favourite hobby to it...pumpkin carving, of course, but you already knew that, didn't you? In the past I've carved Santa, Santa in his sleigh and Ebenezer Scrooge.
No carving this year, but I offer you a pattern: a wreath! Enjoy the holiday season, no matter what you celebrate or what you believe. I wish you peace and joy.
