Pumpkin Jack Welcomes You!

Pumpkin Jack is all about carving pumpkins. I have patterns, instructions, anecdotes, carving galleries and even Halloween stories. Come in and stay a while. Please return often.

The majority of the patterns on this site are quiet complex and require hours of time to complete. If you find them to be intimidating or, perhaps, you would like a little practice first before tackling them, you might wish to attempt some more traditional patterns here, some Halloween images here or my extensive collection of smiley face patterns here.

Pattern of the Month - December

That set of holidays after Halloween are upon us again and it is time to light lights, feast, sing, observe the longest night of the year and, if you are me, bemoan the impending winter.

Pictured below is the man himself, Santa Claus, as inspired by the Coca Cola corporation. The name Santa Claus originates from the name Saint Nicholas. I personally believe that Santa IS Saint Nicholas, although as to how, all I have are theories which are explored in my annual Advent Calendar. Santa figures prominently in this year's Doctor Who Christmas special. Watch, enjoy and reminisce about last year's theme: the Doctor's 50th anniversary. For now, enjoy the December pattern of the month and I hope that Santa is good to you.

See you next year for the beginning of the Urban Fantasy patterns for 2015.

Santa Claus

Whether a banner for religion or advertising for Santa's abilities, one word has emerged as one of the hallmarks for the season.

Believe!
