Arrow is an American television series developed by writer/producers Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, and Andrew Kreisberg. It is based on the DC Comics character Green Arrow, a costumed crime-fighter created by Mort Weisinger and George Papp. It premiered in North America on The CW on October 10, 2012, with international broadcasting taking place in late 2012. Primarily filmed in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, the series follows billionaire playboy Oliver Queen, portrayed by Stephen Amell, who, after five years of being stranded on a hostile island, returns home to fight crime and corruption as a secret vigilante whose weapon of choice is a bow and arrow. Unlike in the comic books, Queen does not initially go by the alias "Green Arrow".

Oliver Queen

Oliver is a billionaire playboy who returns to Starling City after five years of being stranded after a ship wreck. He spends his nights as a hooded vigilante who stops crime in the city. In the first season, Oliver focuses on a list of targets that he determined are taking advantage of the citizens. Subsequent seasons has him venturing into all criminal activity, and he shifts from being willing to kill to having a rule against all killing as a means of stopping assailants. In Arrow, Oliver has yet to go by the alias "Green Arrow", like he does in the comic books, but instead has allowed the news and police to give him various identities throughout the course of the show.

Felicity Smoak is an I.T. expert and skilled hacker, an ally of Oliver Queen who can hack into electronic databases and computer files in order to help him accomplish his missions. Felicity also discloses her Jewish heritage in this series.

Quentin Lance

Actor: Paul Blackthorne

Captain Quentin Larry Lance (born 1963) is one of the main characters in the TV series Arrow. He is a police captain, formerly a sergeant, detective and officer, of the Starling City Police Department. He was partners with the late Lucas Hilton before being demoted, and was a good friend of the latter. He was reinstated as detective by Lieutenant Frank Pike when Slade Wilson, a former ASIS operative, launched an assault on Starling City with the intent of destroying everything Oliver Queen loved. Quentin is the ex-husband of Dinah Lance, and the father of Laurel Lance and the late Sara Lance.

John Diggle

John Diggle (born c. 1978), or "Dig" or "Johnny" to Lyla, is a bodyguard, ex-soldier and a member of Oliver Queen's team. John is also the older brother of the late Andy Diggle, who was murdered by Deadshot, the former brother-in-law and ex-boyfriend of Carly Diggle, the uncle of A.J. Diggle, the bodyguard, chauffeur, partner and good friend of Oliver Queen, a good friend of Felicity Smoak and the late Sara Lance, and the ex-husband and boyfriend of Lyla Michaels and the father of Sara Diggle.

As a member of Oliver's team, John is his partner and plays a number of roles including field support, decoy and guidance to Oliver in times of doubt. John has a deep hatred for Floyd Lawton for killing his brother Andy and is also on a mission to find him and kill him. John was a temporary member of the Suicide Squad under the code-name Freelancer.

Thea Queen

Thea Dearden Queen (born January 21, 1995) is the daughter of Malcolm Merlyn and the late Moira Queen, the step-daughter of the late Robert Queen (though treated unquestionably as his daughter throughout his lifetime), and the late Rebecca Merlyn, the maternal younger half-sister of Oliver Queen, and the paternal younger half-sister of the late Tommy Merlyn. Thea is also the ex-girlfriend of Roy Harper.

Laurel Lance

Laurel Lance is an assistant district attorney, and Oliver Queen's ex-girlfriend and former love interest. In season 3, Laurel is working to prosecute the criminals Oliver catches. When her sister Sara (Black Canary) again returns to Starling City, she is killed in front of Laurel. Grief-stricken and vengeful, she makes a disastrous and amateurish attempt to be a vigilante. Oliver refuses to train her, so Laurel seeks former boxer/vigilante Ted Grant's help with combat training. She also wears Sara's Canary jacket in remembrance of her and eventually becoming the "Black Canary".

Roy Harper

Roy William Harper, Jr. (born 1991), referred to as simply Roy Harper, is a street-savvy young man from the Glades. He is the son of the late Roy Harper, Sr. and an unnamed woman, the ex-boyfriend of Thea Queen, a good friend of Sin, the current protégé of Oliver Queen, and and the former protégé and acquaintance of the late Sara Lance. When he first appeared, Roy was a street criminal who was resentful of everyone until he met Thea, who showed him another way of life and helped him become more calm as he fell in love with her. Roy also used to be one of The Arrow's main supporters, until the Arrow shot him in the leg with an arrow, telling him that the life he was trying to live was dangerous. However when Roy discovered the reason why the Arrow shot him in his leg in the first place, and discovered his identity, Roy regained respect for Oliver, and became one of Oliver's main supporters again. He was one of a number of people kidnapped and injected with the Mirakuru serum in an attempt to create a superhuman army for Slade Wilson's Church of Blood. He was training under Oliver in an attempt to control his powers, but after Oliver forced Roy to break up with Thea and her subsequent kidnapping at the hands of Slade, Roy left Starling City but was captured by Slade and used to create more Mirakuru soldiers, whilst the drain left Roy insane and went on a city wide rampage. However, in "Streets of Fire". Roy was cured of the Mirakuru by the S.T.A.R Labs cure created by Caitlin Snow and Cisco Ramon.

Ray Palmer and his fiancé Anna got attacked by Slade Wilson's soldiers. Ray tried to fight them but they broke his leg and killed Anna. After this he promised himself he would never kiss another woman again.

Moira Queen was the mother of Oliver and Thea, the former acting CEO of Queen Consolidated, mayoral candidate and wife of Robert Queen and later Walter Steele. She also had a brief affair with Malcolm Merlyn after his wife's death, which resulted in Thea’s birth.

It is based on the DC Comics character Barry Allen / Flash, a costumed superhero crime-fighter with the power to move at superhuman speeds. It is a spin-off from Arrow, existing in the same fictional universe. The series follows Allen, portrayed by Grant Gustin, a crime scene investigator who gains super-human speed, which he uses to fight criminals, including others who have also gained superhuman abilities.

Harrison Wells

Harrison Wells is a mysterious speedster known as the Man in the Yellow Suit and the Reverse-Flash.

He keeps his private life close to his chest, and not all of the details he told people might be true. He has access to information and technology from the future.[2] As a scientist at S.T.A.R. Labs, he was responsible for the development of the particle accelerator and apparently made it explode on purpose, to create many metahumans.[1] He started acting as a mentor to Barry Allen, whom he had studied before the accident. By his own admission, his goal was to protect his own, the metahumans.

Ronald "Ronnie" Raymond, is a former structural engineer for the S.T.A.R. Labs particle accelerator prior to its catastrophic accident. He is Caitlin Snow's fiance and is one half of the transmuted and conjoint meta-human Firestorm.

Cisco Ramon is a mechanical engineering genius at S.T.A.R. Labs. He came from a rather poor Puerto Rican family, and provides much-needed comic relief around his stiff workplace. He works frequently with Caitlin Snow, his co-worker and good friend.

Dr. Caitlin Snow

Dr. Caitlin "Cait" Snow is a bio-engineer at S.T.A.R. Labs and a former scientist at Mercury Labs. She was working during the particle accelerator disaster and tended to Barry Allen during his coma with Cisco Ramon until he woke up. After he began his crusade as "The Flash" Caitlin became a member of his team with Cisco and Dr. "Harrison Wells", before discovering the latter's identity as Eobard Thawne, and provides medical support for the team.

Jay Garrick

Jay Garrick is a veteran speedster from Earth Three and the vigilante known as The Flash. Jay was found by Hunter Zolomon, a meta-human speedster from Earth Two, and held prisoner forced to wear an iron mask that dampened his powers. His name and mantle as the Flash were taken by Hunter to carry out facades as part of a plan to inspire false hope in Central City. After being rescued by Team Flash, Jay found his way back to Earth Three with the help of Harry and Jesse.
