Space (styled SPACE) is a Canadian Category A specialty channel owned and operated by Bell Media. It features science fiction, fantasy, horror, and paranormal programming including films, documentaries, scripted television series and more. SPACE originally used the subtitle The Imagination Station following its name; it is still sometimes used informally by fans today.
InnerSPACE is Space's leading Sci Fi genre news program holding an average audience of 52,000 during winter January 2010, up 27% from winter January 2009. Not to be confused with the Sci-Fi film Innerspace (1987).
As the Host of InnerSPACE, AJAY FRY is no stranger to SPACE or the airwaves. Born in Toronto, Ajay attributes his bizarre and creative sense of humour to growing up in Ottawa. His career in television began at an early age with roles on LASSIE, ARE YOU AFRAID OF THE DARK and BIG WOLF ON CAMPUS. He also regularly lent his young voice to cartoons such as ARTHUR, LITTLE LULU and CAILLOU.
A two-time Gemini Award nominee, Loystís most recent role was as host and producer of "Sex Matters". Prior to that, she spent many years as the Supervising Producer for the internationally syndicated and award-winning documentary series SexTV where she was able to boldly go where not too many people have gone before. Loyst had the opportunity to interview a wide range of people, including academics, fetishists and celebrities while supervising a variety of otherworldly productions for SexTV, including Monstrous Desires: Sexuality & Horror, Loving The Alien: Sex & Science Fiction, Remote Control: Romancing The Robot and Japanese Anime.
Teddy Wilson began his career in the entertainment industry as a child actor on the internationally syndicated series YOU CANíT DO THAT ON TELEVISION. After earning an Honours B.A. in Political Science, Wilson moved to Toronto to work at the Ontario Legislature. Political advisor by day, he started producing live comedy revues at night, including the prestigious Tim Sims Encouragement Award show at The Second City.
